My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nina is a gentle Chihuahua mix with a heart full of hope. After being rescued from a hoarding situation, she’s slowly learning that people can be kind and that the world is a safe place. At first, Nina can be shy and cautious, but once she feels secure, her sweet and personality begins to shine.
She’s looking for a calm, patient adopter who can give her the time and love she needs to build trust. A quiet home without too much hustle and bustle would be perfect for her. With consistency, gentle encouragement, and plenty of treats, Nina will blossom into a devoted little companion.
If you believe in second chances and have a soft spot for shy souls, Nina may be the one for you. Apply at ghhs.org

Additional adoption info

Adopters must be at least 19 years old.

If you rent, you must have permission from your landlord and pet fees must be paid in advance.

If adopting into a family, we require all members of the family to be in agreement about adopting. For families that already include another dog, we typically require a meet and greet; this may be hosted on the GHHS property, or at the potential adopter's home.

Some animals may require a home inspection.

Verification of current pet(s) vaccine/vet records.
