My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~

Health: ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam *****

Temperament: Meet Ducky, an absolutely amazing girl who's as sweet as pie! This 7-year-old pup weighs around 16lbs and is looking for a loving home where she can thrive. As one of the best fosters we've ever had, Ducky has proven herself to be a dream to groom—she literally just lays there and drifts off to sleep while being pampered!

While Ducky is still working on shedding a few extra pounds (she needs to lose at least 6lbs), she is leash trained and crate trained, making her an easygoing companion for your daily adventures. Ducky has never met a stranger, and her friendly disposition shines through with everyone she meets, including other dogs. However, we're uncertain about how she feels about cats.

Ducky absolutely loves attention and is the kind of doggy you dream of having by your side. Although she does get car sick at times, a little nausea medication helps her feel fantastic on the road.

With her beautiful looks and the best personality to match, Ducky is truly a treasure! If you're ready to open your heart and home to this wonderful pup, apply to adopt Ducky today—she's ready to bring joy and love into your life! --

Where did she come from: She was surrendered to our rescue because her owner could not keep up with her grooming.

 Adoption: ***** $700.00 ***** Weight: 16 lbs. DOB: 2/1/2018

Additional adoption info

Please allow up to 72 hours for a response.

Adopting one of our dogs requires that you fill out an adoption application, have your references checked, and let us visit your home.

The required minimum adoption donation is $250. That amount covers the spay/neuter, annual vaccinations, heartworm testing, and one month of heart worm preventative.

We spend about $300.00 just to treat the pommies that are heartworm positive. We have invested more than $1000.00 in several of our pommies--treating them and kenneling them. Kenneling cost $16 a day per dog. We need foster homes!
