Meet Axel! This sweet German Shepherd boy has finally made it to San Diego and is looking for a foster or forever home to call his own. At around 3.5 years old and over 75 pounds, Axel is a gentle giant with a heart of gold. Axel walks well on leash and loves car rides. He loves laying at his humans feet and being their little shadows. He definitely thinks he's a lap dog because's not afraid to climb right up.
He welcomes pets and head scratches. He's dog friendly and would absolutely love a yard to play in and a family to shower with affection. He does great with kids as young as 2 and is very gentle. Because he's very curious about the outside world, Axel needs a home with a tall fence to keep him safe. The good news? He's not a vocal boy and only barks when other dogs start the chorus.
