My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Elliot is a sweet, affectionate girl who’s looking for stability and a family to call her own. She has lived comfortably with a cat, small dogs, big dogs, and children, and she enjoys being part of a busy, loving home.

She’s your typical playful puppy—full of energy, joy, and sometimes a bit too much enthusiasm! Elliot is still learning her manners, but she responds wonderfully to training and is very food-motivated once she feels settled.

Elliot loves being with her people. She can climb chain-link fencing, so she’ll need supervision outside or a secure yard, but she’s not trying to run away—she just wants to stay close to the humans she loves.

If you’re looking for a fun, loyal, and loving companion who’s eager to learn and eager to please, Elliot might be your perfect match!

Go meet their pets

We have a weekly adoption fair at Petco in Danville, Va. where we bring some of our dogs and cats. Most are fostered in members' homes. If you see a dog on our web site, please call us and we will make an appointment for you to meet. We make every effort to match the dogs with their prospective homes. Go to http://spcaofpittsco.rescuegroups.org.

More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated volunteers formed in 2007 to increase adoptions and reduce the kill rate from our local pound. We foster, vet, transfer and love all the dogs that we rescue and make every possible effort to place them in forever loving homes. We also operate a food bank to help keep pets in their homes. We are totally dependent on volunteers and donations from animal lovers like ourselves. We are saving and placing 20-30 dogs a month who would have been euthanized. We need you-Please help us save precious lives.
