My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lady is a snuggly, friendly, kind hearted 5 year old pup with so much love to give.

Lady is still learning perfect leash manners but has greatly improved in the short time we’ve had together! She settles right into her walk after a few minutes. It's easy to teach Lady because she is veryyy treat motivated!

Lady loves sniffing and exploring leaves and holiday decorations. She does get excited and curious around new dogs and did great on her dog test in the shelter. She is easily redirected with a treat. She will not bark back when barked at growled at by another dog because, of course, she is a LADY.

Lady does well in long car rides and has done excellent with inside house manners. She is happy to snuggle under blankets and/or rest at your feet or on the couch. She is the most excellent couch velvet couch potato!

Lady thrives with her consistent routine and potty breaks!

Lady has really settled into the sweetest most warming house guest and I think would do amazing in any space she goes to next!

More about this rescue

Adoption Option Dog Rescue Inc. is a nonprofit, foster-based animal rescue organization striving to decrease the number of dogs, cats, puppies and kittens in shelters. We pull unwanted dogs and cats, including pregnant and nursing mothers and their litters, from owners, pounds, animal shelters and other rescue groups and provide them with all needed medical care in loving, family-centered, foster environments before searching for adoptive families and forever homes. Adoption Option also rehabilitates and trains dogs who were abused and neglected. We seek to involve community members in rescue efforts through volunteer opportunities while educating citizens and adopters about how to best care for their pets.
