While Pickles appreciates quiet moments and calm companionship, she’s also a loyal, affectionate friend who will share the sweetest kisses once she bonds with you. She’s not into loud toys or too much excitement, but she does enjoy playing with rope toys and cherishes peaceful, loving connections.
Pickles is housebroken, crate trained, and has had obedience training, making her a wonderful addition to any home. She’s friendly with adults, kids, other dogs, and even cats! She loves car rides and has done wonderfully off-leash.

All shelter locations are conducting animal viewing and adoptions on a first come, first serve basis. We are not able to move a pet from one location to another for your viewing.
The adoption fee is waived for all available pets in care and in foster homes. Standard adoption practices will still be in place, including background checks.

The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department (AWD) expanded the shelter days of service to seven days a week with operational hours of 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and pet viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m for both the east and west side shelter locations.
