Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Evelyn! 🐾
Evelyn is a gorgeous, gentle young cat around 2 years old who is ready to find her forever home. It doesn’t take her long to warm up. Once she feels comfortable, Evelyn’s sweet and affectionate personality really shines through.
If you’re sitting on the couch or relaxing to watch some TV, Evelyn will be right there on your lap, purring happily and soaking up all the love she can get. She’s recently started exploring more around the house and showing off her playful side, batting at toys and curiously checking out her surroundings. It’s been such a joy watching her confidence grow day by day.
Evelyn has beautiful, striking markings that make her even more special. She’s a tidy girl who eats and drinks well and started using the litter box right away without any issues. At night, she loves curling up next to her person in bed and will often sleep right beside you, content and peaceful.
She’s a calm, gentle companion who thrives on attention and affection, and she would do wonderfully in a quiet home with someone who can give her the love and patience she deserves. Evelyn has such a loving heart—she just needs someone to share it with.
She’s been an absolute delight to have around, and whoever adopts her will be very lucky to call her family. ❤️
Evelyn is spayed, microchipped, FeLV/FIV negative, dewormed, and up to date on vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting Evelyn, please fill out an application on our website today!

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
