My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Plait is the dog equivalent of a custom coffee order that takes forever to describe. A canine menu mashup that is both complicated and delicious, he is listed as a chi mix. And it’s true, he’s pretty small. But atop his wee chassis is the broad face, big ole smile, and deep rolls of furry goodness that typically belong to a much bigger boy. Personality? Also jumbo. He’s a peppy all-out lover of life who likes a party, an adventure, a little lap-based wrestle – whatever’s cooking, he’s at the front of the line. Little dude comes on strong, but he gets along just fine with other dogs. Doesn’t mind the stairs and will lean in hard to a good snuggle. Mostly he’s a one-of-a-kind sweetie guy looking for fun and cuddles. Sound good? We thought so. Come on down!

Here's some notes from his foster:

Plait is settling in really well, he’s such a sweet and happy little guy! He is a spunky senior who has never met a stranger he doesn't like— on our walks he tries to say hi to everyone nearby. At home he’s happiest in your lap or snoozing by his people, and he’s got some creative sleeping positions too! He’s very easy-going, and loves food.

Plait has really settled in at home and revealed his wonderful energy level. He is up for walks throughout the day, but is just as happy to relax by your side around the house. At night he goes right into his crate at bedtime and doesn't stir until I wake him up. He's also comfortable being left at home, and seems to stay in his cozy bed most of the time when he's alone. His playful side has come out, too! He likes to play short games of tug with his toys. After just a few days, Plait also adjusted to the potty schedule and has not had any accidents in the house.

He is so sweet with any new person he sees, and loves to hang out wherever his people are in the house during the day! He also has some of the silliest sleeping positions!
