Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Alces—“Big Al” to his Friends
Al’s Adoption Asks
- Potential adopters must live in the DFW-area; Al comes with complementary trainer support to ensure a successful transition
- Experienced dog owner committed to continued training
- Owner with experience or willingness to learn and help with anxiety
- Adult-only home or kids 12 years and older where he has consistent companionship
- Access to daily physical activity
Al’s Assets
This handsome, energetic dood is one smart cookie who already knows “sit,” “home,” “no carpet,” and even a charming little “high five.” He’s incredibly responsive to hand cues and his name, making him a dream for someone who enjoys training and wants a quick learner by their side. Al has a medium–high energy level, so he’s always up for a walk, yard time, or brain games, but he’s also an A+ snuggler who loves nothing more than curling up close to his person afterward. He adores the attention he gets from being such a stunning dood and has a happy, loving demeanor. He’s crate and potty trained, loyal once bonded, and happiest when he has both structure and affection in his day. Because he can be protective and isn’t comfortable with little kids, Al’s ideal match is an experienced owner in an adults-only (or older-kid) home who can give him the consistency he thrives on. Al gets along well with other dogs, but any other dogs in the home should be submissive as Al prefers to be the alpha. With patience, love, and a good dose of play, Al will be the ultimate loyal sidekick — goofy, affectionate, and always ready for his next adventure.
Are You Devoted, Dependable, and Dog-Savvy?
Because his adopters will receive transition support through our training partner, potential adopters must reside in the DFW-area. Alces’s adoption fee is $600. He is HW negative, current on all vaccinations and HW/flea preventatives, neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Alces a second chance. If you would like to fill out an application and you are within the DFW area, please click on one of the Adoption Application buttons on this page https://www.doodledandyrescue.org/all-adoptable-doodles/alces and select ALCES from the drop-down menu on the application form.
