Buzz | Tag #1764 | Frenchie | 3 years old | Neutered Male
Meet Buzz! Buzz has a big personality packed into a small body! This energetic goofball lives up to his name, always zipping around, chasing toys, and making everyone laugh with his silly antics.
Buzz is smart, slightly stubborn and lots of fun. He loves playtime, snacks, and showing off his zoomies. But beneath all that excitement, he’s a loyal little dude who bonds closely with his people once he trusts them.
Because Buzz can be a bit pushy and has a mind of his own, he’ll need an experienced owner who understands these behaviors and can give him consistent boundaries, structure, and positive training. He’s not a first-time dog owner kind of guy, but with the right person, he’ll be a loving companion.
Buzz’s Ideal Home:
-Experienced owner familiar with strong-willed breeds
-Adults only or older dog-savvy kids
-Possibly the only pet (he likes being the star!)
-Someone who appreciates his quirks and has patience for training
If you’re looking for a bold, funny, and full-of-life sidekick, Buzz might just be your perfect match!
Interested in adopting? Please call the Shelter at (631) 224-5660 or email us at AnimalShelter@islipNY.gov with the name of the pet your interested in adopting.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our adoption procedures have changed.
Our new procedures are as follows:
First view our animals on our facebook page under photos, on Petfinder.com or Adopt-A-Pet.com. If you are interested in any of our animals, email us at animalshelter@islipny.gov and we will send you an application to complete. When you email the application back to us, please list the dog/dogs name and tag number.
Once the application is complete and we have all the proper paperwork, we will contact you to make an appointment to come see the animal. Appointments will be spread out so we don't have two families here at once. All introductions and meet-and-greets will be done outside.
We thank everyone for your patience, understanding, and support through this difficult time. Everyone stay safe and healthy!
....
In order to adopt an animal from us you must first meet the animal in person. Once that goes well, you will be required to fill out the application including personal information, current pet information, and vet information. We require you to do a "meet and greet" if you have other dogs, to ensure all dogs get along. Once approved, you can come pick up your pet!
Adoption Fees:
Cats - $100
Dogs - $131
Fees include the cost of spay or neuter surgery, micro-chip and vaccines.
