My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Eight is a confident, curious boy who’s always ready to be part of the action. Whether it’s exploring new places or just hanging out with his people, he’s happiest when he’s involved. Treats are his love language—he’ll do just about anything for a snack—and he passed his trainer evaluation with flying colors, showing no signs of resource guarding. With proper introductions, he has great potential to be both dog- and kid-friendly.

Toys are his absolute favorite, from balls to squeakers, and he brings a joyful energy to every game. When meeting new people, he shows his excitement with happy kicks and back wiggles that are impossible not to smile at. While he can get a little bouncy with very excited greetings, he’s smart and quick to learn with gentle guidance.

If you’re looking for an active, playful companion who will also be your loyal best friend, Eight is ready to meet you.

Go meet their pets

Thank you for your interest in adopting from West Valley City/Taylorsville Animal Services! We would love for you to come to the shelter and meet your new family member.

You can come to the shelter Monday through Friday between 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm and walk through to see the animals we have available for adoption.

Please keep in mind that adoptions are first come, first serve. We often have a few pets that would make a good match for each family, so if the animal you are interested in is no longer available, you can still come in and meet some animals to see if there's a good fit.

You can see all of our animals at www.wvcpets.com [wvcpets.com]
