Chipmunk is a beautiful 1-year-old sweetheart who was found outside with Squirrel, both wearing matching old flea collars — giving “besties who escaped a bad situation together.” Despite her rough start, Chipmunk’s gentle nature shines through. She’s soft, sweet, and a little shy, like the quiet kid in school who turns out to be hilarious once she finally talks. Chipmunk wants a home where she can blossom, nap safely, and no longer worry about her past. Her markings are absolutely stunning — soft brown tabby striping over a crisp white coat — and her young age means she has her whole life ahead of her. Chipmunk would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can warm up at her own pace and finally experience the security she’s always deserved.
Chipmunk is now spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, dewormed, received flea prevention, and is microchipped.
Chipmunk currently resides at our adoption center in PetSmart in Northeast Philadelphia (7422 Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19152) for your viewing pleasure.

More about this rescue
OUT OF THE WOODS RESCUE IS A NO-KILL ORGANIZATION LEAD BY DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS. WE STRIVE TO MAKE EVERY INTAKE HAVE A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE AND TO KNOW THE TRUE MEANING OF FINDING THEIR FUR-EVER HOME.
Out of the Woods Rescue was established in 2018 by a group of veterinary professionals and animal caregivers. Our strong medical background helps us fulfill our goal of taking in and rehoming neglected and abandoned animals, especially those dealing with illness. The Rescue team has more than ten years of experience with animal medicine and welfare. This background allows us to care for animals who are ill and may otherwise be facing euthanasia. In addition to helping sick and senior pets, Out of the Woods Rescue also partners with Southern Puppy Rescue bringing abandoned puppies from the South to new homes in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey areas. The Rescue team is completely run on a volunteer basis and operates through donations. If you are able to donate, please click on our donations tab for links to our PayPal and Amazon accounts.
