My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my official name is Fancy Fox, but most people just call me Foxy. I really should be called 'Foxy Lady' since the boy dogs seem to really like me. Obviously I am a Husky and I am 15 months old. And currently only 35 lbs. I am a bit skinny and wolfing down the good food at my rescue to gain some weight. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, but once I decide you're ok you will find I am a pretty sweet gal. I like to meet people in a nice quiet place and that's when I shine. If you are patient and gain my trust, I will put my nose in your hand and maybe even you a little kiss.

My temporary foster family says I'm a calm girl who is pretty shy but I see him like I know the ropes of a house. I'm warming up slowly to everyone around me and Just need time to settle in.

Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.
