My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Lillie is a sweet terrier who is looking for a home. She came from one of our partner rescues in Louisiana, and is now in a NJ foster home.

Lillie can be shy at first with new people and dogs, but she gets over it quickly. She warmed up to her foster mom and dad, and is now very sweet with them and the other dogs. She will need someone who is willing to be patient and can give her a little time and TLC. It is worth the wait! Watching a dog blossom is a unique and amazing process.

Lillie came off the transport to NJ and almost immediately is at home in her foster home.  She enjoys using a doggie door to go in and out at will.  She has been playing with the other dogs, and loves to run and chase and be chased.  She has warmed up to kids (with treats).  Lillie enjoys going for walks, and she likes to sleep under the covers at night.

Lillie is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She tested negative for heartworm disease.   Her adoption fee is $450.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy, and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home.

Additional adoption info

We require an application. After reviewing the application, your home sounds suitable for the personality of the animal you are looking for, then a home check and a meeting is set up. For our rescue animals an adoption donation is required. All our rescue animals are up to date on shots, heartworm tested or on preventative, dewormed frontlined and have a microchip.

More about this rescue

Wag On Inn Rescue, A NJ recognized 501(C)3 organization, located in Freehold, NJ, is a small group of dedicated volunteers, trying to rehome dogs and cats. We have a variety of animals looking for their forever home. The animals are worked with individually to be socialized with other animals and with people. Some of the dogs are obedience trained and housebroken. Special care is also taken in working with animals on basic house manners. We have two types of ways we help the animals. One is our rescue program, where we pull animals from shelters and they stay with us until adopted, we also have a "referal program" where we help owners of pets try to find them new homes. with this program, the pets stay with their owners until a new home is found, and adopted from the owner.
