16-year-old Bart Bubbies was surrendered to the Humane Society of Imperial County by his family for euthanasia due to a urinary tract infection they could not—or chose not to—treat. The shelter declined the request and instead provided Bart with the care he needed. We welcomed this sweet boy as a Frosted Face on November 14th. He weighs just under 14 lbs.
Bart went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn more about him while he enjoyed lots of TLC in the comfort of a home. And what a difference this time in a home made!
Bart's Fling Mom reports:
"When I brought Bart home, he was a bit skittish and standoffish. That soon changed and he became my shadow, coming up for pets and greeting anyone coming in the door. He really enjoyed being with my 10-year-old grandson.
Here's what else I've learned about him:
🐾 Loves exploring the yard. (see video)
🐾 Walks well on a leash & has plenty of pep!
🐾 Sleeps through the night
🐾 Settles down quickly after whining a little when I leave home
🐾 Enjoys pets and head scratches
🐾 Rides peacefully in the car
🐾 Likes head scratches
🐾 Is very good about getting a bath
Bart has plenty of energy around the yard, and walks. He was quiet and mellow in the house. I'm hoping Bart finds his forever family soon - they will score one happy and loving companion!"
