My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

?? Meet Tofu ??

Tofu is the perfect combination of charm and charisma! This lovable guy absolutely thrives on attention and can’t wait to show off the incredible tricks he’s learned with the Highland K9 students. From sit and down to come, stay, and shake, Tofu is always ready to impress!

His journey hasn’t been easy. Tofu came from a challenging situation where he was tethered to a dog house and suffered from malnutrition. But now, after 37 days of being chain-free at our shelter, he’s living his best life! Tofu has blossomed into a social butterfly who loves spending time with his furry friends in the play yard, as well as enjoying solo playtime with volunteers, especially playing fetch. And did we mention that he walks perfectly on a leash? With a bit of extra love and care, he’s packed on some healthy pounds and is ready for his next adventure.

If you’re looking to spoil a sweet, affectionate dog who would be forever grateful to be a part of a loving family, come visit Tofu at our shelter (430 Bristol Dr., Statesville, NC)! He’s ready to fill your home with joy and admiration. His adoption FEE is WAIVED AND his adopter will receive two free sessions with HK9 Training!
