Hi, my name is Mercury! I am a gentle dog who really comes out of my shell when I have another dog around. I love looking to them for guidance and reassurance, and it makes a big difference in my confidence and happiness.
On my own, I can be a little timid and take my time to feel comfortable, but with a calm, older dog by my side I feel brave, playful, and much more relaxed. I would do best in a home with a patient dog buddy to help me feel secure, and a family who understands that I need a little time to warm up.
I enjoy stuffed toys chew toys and peanut butter kongs and I am slowly discovering how nice gentle pets can be. I am a quiet delicate girl and my foster family says I move like a little deer. Loud noises sudden movements and new places make me nervous but with a calm steady routine I settle in and feel much safer. I do not like being picked up but I do not react badly. I just prefer to come to you when I am ready.
Once I feel safe, I am loyal, loving, and eager to share affection and snuggles with my people. I can`t wait to find my forever family!
