Meet Honey Comb, the embodiment of joy in puppy form! This 30-pound bundle of energy lights up the shelter with her sweet, cuddly nature. Always ready for a game, she`s as goofy and playful as they come, yet gentle and friendly with everyone she meets. She loves toys, running, tugging, jumping, and non-stop zoomies. Honey Comb`s excitable, affectionate personality makes her a perfect companion for anyone looking for a loving, loyal friend. She seems to already know the sit command but house training is a mystery. We haven`t seen her around other dogs but the barking ones don`t intimidate her one bit. We`ve only seen her around one child and she was loving and submissive, but her fears in new situations are leading us to require that kids be at least 10 years old. Her jumpy, submissive demeanor is endearing, and she`s always eager to please. Adopt Honey Comb and fill your life with boundless love and laughter! (tw 11/30/2025)

Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

A second dog or puppy, adopted within 30 days of the first adoption receives a $20 discount.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021. In 2021, CAP provided care for 10,260 animals; this includes animals surrendered by the public and transferred in from animal control agencies and rescue groups, animals already in the shelter and foster care program, feral cats trapped/neutered/returned and animals receiving vaccinations and other treatments in our low-cost vaccination clinic, The Cornelius Clinic.
