My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Betty — the wonderfully one-of-a-kind pup with a whole lot of personality!

Betty may not look like every other dog, and honestly… that’s part of her charm. With her striking mismatched eyes and fabulously scruffy coat, she turns heads everywhere she goes. But Betty isn’t just a unique face — she’s a fun, clever little companion with plenty of love (and muscle!) to give.

Betty does well with male dogs and can be selective about her female friends, so she’d thrive in a home that understands her preferences. For a smaller-sized dog, she is shockingly strong — truly a tiny powerhouse — and while she’s working on her leash manners, she hasn’t quite mastered the art of polite walking just yet. A patient adopter who doesn’t mind practicing her skills will help her shine.

Inside the home, though? Betty is a total star. She’s fully house trained, knows her basic obedience, and enjoys being part of the family. She’s quirky, lovable, and absolutely unforgettable.

If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep life interesting, and bring some delightful weirdness into your world, Betty is your girl.Adoption Hours are Thursday through Sunday from noon to 5pm. You do not need an appointment to come by and meet animals during adoption hours.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is based on making the right match. Though people can apply for a specific animal, we would like to know more about lifestyle and match a pet with that lifestyle. For example, we would not want to match an active dog with an inactive one. Therefore, our primary concern is the interview process and getting to know the potential adopter.
