Poe is a very special girl looking for a patient, loving forever home. She has a condition called megacolon, which is currently well managed with daily medication and a special diet. She will need to remain on her medication and food for life, so to help her find her perfect family, her adoption fee is waived.
Poe is a shy and sensitive soul who took a long time to come out of her shell in foster care. She needs a quiet home and a family willing to give her the time, space, and understanding she needs to feel safe. Once she trusts you, her sweet, gentle personality truly shines.
Every morning after breakfast, Poe loves being brushed, it’s her favourite thing! After that, she usually goes off to do her own thing, often relaxing by a window and watching the world outside. At night, she sleeps on the bed with her foster and likes short, gentle pick-ups.
Poe enjoys playing in her own quiet way. If you toss her toys, she’ll happily chase them for a bit. She is an incredibly sweet girl with a soft, tender heart looking for the right person to love her as she is.

We are a volunteer-based, donation-only service that provides adoption services for people who are looking for a new furry addition to their family. We also provide non-judgemental, supportive help for people who are surrendering their companion animals.
We provide free advice and suggestions to people who are experiencing issues with their pets, including but not limited to behavioural issues, training advice, surrender help, and much more: spay/neuter education, advice and referrals.
We have a screening process that includes an application, telephone screen and a virtual home visit to make sure the people are "as good as they sound on the phone". We also contact their vet and do a reference check.
