This happy, friendly girl is crate-trained, potty-trained, and bursting with enthusiasm for life! She’s a recent puppy school grad and an eager little learner who loves to make her people proud. Ginny’s favorite things? Toys (all of them), doggy playdates, and soaking up love and snuggles from her humans. She’s an all-around good girl who’s ready to be someone’s hiking buddy, adventure pal, and cuddle companion. She loves other dogs, though her playstyle can be a bit “rough and rowdy” — some pups think it’s the best thing ever, others prefer to cheer her on from the sidelines. If you’re looking for a fun, active, smart pup to share your adventures with, Ginny’s your girl! Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from Puerto Rico. Please note that on average, Toby's Rescue spends significantly more on each dog than the adoption fee and all proceeds from our adoptions are used to rescue more dogs from Puerto Rico. Also, we generally do not adopt outside of a 75 mile radius of the DC metropolitan area, as we are a very small rescue and this ensures that we can keep in contact with our adopted pups. Their adoption process
1.
Submit Application
We do a vet check once the application is received. We need to ensure appropriate vetting was done for current/prior pets.
2.
Interview
Video interview such as Zoom/Google Meet required.
3.
Home Check
We require pictures of yard, fence, common living space to ensure no issues that need to be addressed.
4.
Approve Application
5.
Meet the Pet
At the time of the meeting, the people adopt and pay the fee or walk away and we start over with the adoption process on a new applicant.
Additional adoption info
Vet check is required. We google home records to ensure applicant is not lying about owning a home when it's actually a rental that doesn't allow pets.

The Hatton Animal Rescue Foundation was founded by Gary and Annette Hatton who saw a great gap in our society when it comes to the care and support of special needs animals and seniors. These animals are the ones most left behind and typically deemed un-salvageable or un-adoptable due to their medical conditions and age.
We foster many different types of animals with special needs and/or disabilities in the hopes that they will one day be adopted into a loving home. If one cannot be found, we provide the comfort, care and forever home they need.
Due to the nature of farm animals being more challenging to adopt out, these special guys typically become our permanent residents!
Our amazing team of volunteers are committed to helping animals in our community. We take our convictions and turn them into action.
