My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name, age, breed: Big Rig, 2yrs, Mastiff mix

Likes: Going for walks, loves to play, cuddles

Dislikes: Fast introductions to new things (can be shy to start)

What would be the ideal home? Would do well in an active home with a strong handler. Would recommend an adult only home.

Good with other cats? No

Good with dogs? Possibly with the right introduction.

Good with children? No

Temperament: Friendly, playful, active, eager to please

Motivators? Toys, Treats, Kibble

Any commands? Sit, paw, other paw, lay down, off, drop it

House trained? Unknown

Crate trained? Unknown

How long will it take to settle into a new environment? 3-3-3 rule: First 3 days - Your dog may be overwhelmed and may hide, have a lack of appetite, or test boundaries. Give them space and time to adjust in a quiet room with their bed, food, water, and toys. 3 weeks - Your dog may start to settle in and their personality will emerge. You can expect behavior issues to arise, so set boundaries and expectations with positive reinforcement training. 3 months - Your dog should be comfortable and acclimated to your home. They should know their routine and expect meals and enrichment at specific times.

Any special needs or traits an adopter should know? Could benefit from obedience training. Can get overstimulated when playing tug-of-war.
