My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chip – A Gentle, Merle Bully Mix Learning to Feel Safe Again

Chip is an 8–9 month old merle American Bully mix who has already endured more than any young dog should. He arrived underweight, unsure, and visibly confused about the world around him. It’s clear he hasn’t always been treated kindly, and those early experiences have left him a bit hand-shy and hesitant.

But beneath that uncertainty is one of the sweetest, softest souls you’ll ever meet.

When he begins to trust you — even just a little — he leans in with quiet affection. He watches his people closely, wanting to be brave, wanting to connect. He just needs patience and kind guidance to continue learning that human hands can mean safety.

Chip is still figuring out the basics of home life. If he has a potty accident, he’ll move away quickly as though he’s expecting punishment — a heartbreaking glimpse into his past. What he needs now is reassurance, gentleness, and a home willing to teach with love instead of fear.

Despite everything he’s faced, Chip remains incredibly tender-hearted. With time, consistency, and kindness, he’s going to bloom into the devoted, loving companion he was always meant to be.

If you’re looking for a resilient, affectionate young dog who just needs someone to believe in him, Chip may be the perfect match.
