My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Frankie arrived in Canada from St Lucia about a year ago and has been adored from day one. He’s a gentle, cheerful, cuddly little guy who loves people with his whole heart. Due to changes in his previous home — more people, more pups, more bustle — Frankie found himself overwhelmed. Now he’s looking for his forever family, where he can be the only dog in the household and get his people’s undivided attention.

He’s doing brilliantly in his current foster home and is a quick, willing learner.

Frankie has a rare but manageable immune-related skin condition (ischaemic dermatopathy). It’s not contagious and is controlled with medication, supplements, and sun protection. Flare-ups can happen with intense sun exposure, stress, or vaccinations, sometimes causing minor hair loss. He just needs a caring family committed to his ongoing care and regular check-ups.

If you want a loyal little shadow who’ll love you endlessly, Frankie might be your perfect match!

Go meet their pets

We are a foster based rescue, but we can schedule visits with the animals when possible. We also participate in meet & greet events.

More about this rescue

Bruno Project Canada is a non-profit organization that helps injured and stray potcakes in St. Lucia and homeless dogs in Ontario.

Our primary focus is fundraising for spay/neuter clinics to help control the dog and cat population in St. Lucia. We also raise funds to provide parasite prevention, medical treatments, supplies, equipment, and food for the stray and shelter feeding programs, as well as for special projects.

We work closely with the volunteers at Bruno Project St. Lucia, and the St. Lucia Animal Protection Society (SLAPS) to support them in their heroic efforts to ease the suffering of cats and dogs in St. Lucia and find adoptive homes for dogs in Canada.

When possible, we also take in unwanted dogs in Ontario, provide them with needed care and fosters, and seek homes for them locally.
