Meet Miriam, a 6-month-old, 23-pound cutie with the head of a Labrador and the body of a Dachshund — a one-of-a-kind combo that makes her as adorable as she is charming.

Miriam is a happy, energetic puppy who loves making new friends. She’s friendly with everyone she meets and would happily become best buddies with every person she sees. She gets along well with other dogs and even met a cat in her foster home without any issues.

Like all young pups, Miriam still needs guidance and structure as she grows. She’ll do best with an adopter who has the time, patience, and commitment to help her learn good habits and continue blossoming into the wonderful dog she’s meant to be.

The best way to meet our pups is via private meetings or at adoption events. We host these weekly at various locations around NYC.

Our adoption fee ranges from $275-$550 and covers the costs of vetting, boarding, transportation, and other necessary items for our dogs.

Hearts & Bones Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based rescue with dual bases in New York City, NY and Dallas, TX. We are dedicated to ending the needless euthanasia of shelter dogs through direct lifesaving, shared learning, and community building. Our incredible network of rescue partners, fosters, volunteers, and a small but mighty staff work together to save dogs in the areas where shelters are under the greatest stress, and unite them with loving adopters ready to give them the lives they deserve.
