Jackie is a 5-year-old Australian Shepherd who weighs about 59 lbs and brings together everything you love about the breed: intelligence, curiosity, and a warm, loving nature. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and already knows commands like Sit and Place, with leash skills improving every day. On walks she’s wonderfully exploratory, always interested in her surroundings, but once inside she settles easily and enjoys relaxing with her people.
She’s generally very friendly with other dogs, though her herding instincts can come out around smaller pups (classic Aussie behavior!). Jackie thrives with mental stimulation and clear structure, and she connects deeply with the people in her life. She’s a beautiful, affectionate dog who will be an incredible companion for someone who appreciates a smart, engaged partner by their side.

Hearts & Bones Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based rescue with dual bases in New York City, NY and Dallas, TX. We are dedicated to ending the needless euthanasia of shelter dogs through direct lifesaving, shared learning, and community building.
