My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Missy!

This sweet senior bully mix has been through a lot of change lately after losing her beloved owner, and she’s feeling very nervous in the shelter. Missy is a gentle soul who simply wants to be loved—calm, affectionate, and happiest when she can snuggle up with her favorite person. She’s lived peacefully with cats in the past, has been very gentle and nurturing around a baby, and is house-trained and well-mannered in the home.

Missy can be a little timid at first, especially around men, but she warms up quickly with kindness and patience. She has done well with softer, calmer dogs in playgroup and on buddy walks, though she can be selective with her canine friends and would do best with a mellow dog who respects her space.

She’s looking for a quiet, loving home where she can decompress and rediscover her sense of comfort and security. If you’re searching for a loyal, low-key companion with a heart full of love, Missy is ready to be your best friend.
