History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!
A Note from the Foster: Hi! I’m Annie Oakley!
I came with the 2025 Out Of The Cold crew and I am loving it here so far❄️. My favorite things are constant pets, hugs, meals, and bones. And meals…. My foster mom is has been slowly increasing my intake, so I will be filled out in no time. But you probably didn’t even notice how skinny I am because of my ice blue eyes🩵 They are always the first thing people notice! You should also know that I am so soft. Once you stop petting me, I put my paw(s)🐾 back up on you so that you will keep petting me. Foster mom thinks it’s so sweet and says it feels like I’m giving her hugs sometimes. Some other important things that you’ll love to know are that I am quiet in my kennel through the night and am potty trained already!
While I’m still gaining weight, muscle and energy, I don’t appreciate high energy dogs. They stress me out. I would prefer to be your only dog, but I think I could tolerate a low energy dog that will leave me alone. I won’t do well with cats because…well…I’m a hungry girl always on the search for a snack😅 I might sound picky, but don’t worry. I love every human that I have met so I would probably do fine with any amount of that and maybe even kids!
