Every friend group has “that guy” — the confident, friendly one who walks in and suddenly the whole room feels brighter. That’s Prancer. Born 12/15/24 and weighing about 55–60 lbs, this handsome blond boy has enough personality to keep you smiling and enough sweetness to melt the toughest of hearts.
Prancer is playful, social, and always ready for fun. He greets the world with a big grin and an even bigger tail wag, like he’s genuinely happy you exist (and he is!). He’s great with other dogs, though he occasionally likes to be the one calling the shots — think “fun-loving big brother energy” more than anything else.
More than anything, Prancer wants a family who will include him in their everyday lives — the mundane moments, the weekend adventures, and the cozy evenings in between. He’s the kind of dog who believes life is better when you’re doing it together.
Just like his siblings, Prancer comes from an unwanted litter that somehow grew up in rescue. Now almost a year old, he’s hoping for the loving home he should’ve had from the start — one where he can finally be part of the love, laughter, and companionship of a real family.

Hay Dude Equine Rescue, in Boerne, TX, does not have a shelter - ALL of our dogs, are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each pup comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, microchipped, heartworm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.

(2) Rescue, retrain and rehome slaughter bound, abused, or neglected horses
(3) educate the public on proper horse care and husbandry
(4) offer assistance to equine owners in times of natural or personal disaster
(5) rehabilitate neglected and abused equines
(6) accept donations of rehomeable equines for adoption and placement
(7) adopt equines into thoroughly vetted homes
