Meet Fizzgig!
Fizzgig is a 5-year-old, 16-lb Shih Tzu mix with a bright spark and an adventurous little spirit. He came to us as a stray wandering around someone’s property, so matted we could only see his tiny mouth peeking through the fur. Once he was groomed, a whole new dog emerged—curious, animated, and ready to explore the world.
Fizzgig can be a little unsure in new situations, but his natural curiosity quickly takes over. With a bit of gentle encouragement, he’s eager to check everything out, wagging his tail and bouncing around as he gains confidence. He’ll thrive with someone who can guide him patiently through those initial moments of fear while celebrating his brave, excited steps forward.
He’s still working on basic potty training, but he’s smart, observant, and very willing to learn—especially with positive reinforcement.
If you want a fun, inquisitive, and loving dog friendly companion who just needs a kind human to cheer him on, Fizzgig might be your perfect match.
Adoption fee is: $400
ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.
Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.
Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
