Allan Red is an adorable 6-year-old male Shih Tzu weighing just 15 pounds, with a soft gray-and-tan coat and a calm, gentle presence. Despite a rough beginning (being tossed from a moving vehicle) he’s settled in beautifully and shows just how resilient and loving he truly is.
He is neutered, potty trained, crate trained, and doggy-door trained, making him an easy addition to everyday life. Allan Red adapts quickly to routines and transitions, and he gets along well with other dogs. He has 4 foster brothers and sisters and has seamlessly blended in with the pack.
Allan Red may greet you with a few enthusiastic kisses at first, but he isn’t a lap dog or overly demanding. Instead, he prefers to be close—lying beside you, following you from room to room, or quietly keeping you company. He’s the kind of dog who’s happy just being near his person.
Calm, devoted, and well-adjusted, Allan Red is a truly easy dog looking for a safe, loving home where companionship comes naturally and affection is shared at a relaxed, comfortable pace.

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another.
