Meet Sable Mae – The Red Rottweiler Unicorn Who Lives for Joy and Wrestle-Mania!
Hello, I’m Sable Mae! A stunning 7-month-old, 50-lb Rottweiler/Staffy mix with the rare, rich “red” coat and perfect black mask that makes people stop and stare. I’m already spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, house-trained, and crate-trained — basically the total teenager perfection wrapped in velvet fur.
I’m the dog who greets every single day like it’s the best day ever. Walk in the door (even if you only stepped out for two minutes) and I light up like you’re my favorite person on the planet… because you are. I’m playful, bouncy, fearless, and 100 % convinced that everyone I meet is a new best friend.
Here’s the real talk about me:
• Energy level: HIGH and proud of it! I need daily zoomies, wrestling sessions, and toy-stealing missions to be my happiest self.
• Play style: Rough-and-tumble wrestling champ. I adore big, confident dogs who can match my energy (small or fragile dogs might get accidentally steam-rolled).
• Leash skills: Still a work in progress — I pull like a freight train and get VERY excited if I see another dog.
• Favorite hobbies: Digging epic holes, jumping like a kangaroo, “gargoyle-sitting” on the couch, and hiding treats in the weirdest places.
• Quirks you’ll love: My upper lip sometimes gets stuck on my tooth and I flash a goofy grin. I also do the cutest head-tilt in Texas.
My perfect forever home looks like this:
• Active, experienced owners who love hikes, playdates, and training games
• Another big, playful dog sibling is strongly preferred (I get lonely without a wrestling buddy)
• Secure 6-ft fence (fence check required — I’m an escape artist when I’m bored)
• Older kids only (10+); I adore children but I’m 50 lbs of bouncy muscle and will knock little ones over with love
• No cats or birds, please (I think they’re squeaky toys that fly)
• Sensitive tummy — I do best staying on the exact same food and treats (no switching it up!)
Adoption fee: only $165 (I’m already spayed, so no deposit!)
I’ll go home with my favorite toy, blanket, two collars, and a bandana so I arrive in style.
I’ve already been through one return through no fault of my own — all I want is a family who sees how special I am and promises to give me the exercise, play, and love I crave. In return I’ll greet you every single day with that heart-melting “you’re home!” happy dance for the rest of my life.
Ready for a red-headed whirlwind of pure happiness?

Additional adoption info
The adoption process:
Step 1: Complete the Adoption Application. You can request an adoption application via email. Once complete the form can be emailed back for review. You can always pick a adoption application at any of our events.
Step 2: We will review completed applications, do reference and fence checks, as well as a home visit, if needed. Please remember that adopting a pup is making a commitment of 10-15 years, so we do not take any shortcuts in processing applications. It is our responsibility to place these pups in the very best homes we can possibly find for them.
Step 3: When your Adoption Application is approved, we will schedule a time for you to meet the pup that just might be the newest member of your family.
***Please remember that we are an all-volunteer, foster based rescue organization. We do not have a public shelter facility, so all meetings for potential adopters and fosters are done by appointment only. ***
Step 4: After the meeting, if everything seems to be a perfect match, the final step is the signing of the Adoption Contract, payment of the $165 adoption fee and $75 deposit, which makes it $240 (if the animal is not spayed or neutered yet), and taking your new family member home. You will get your deposit back when their 6 months old and altered.

More about this rescue
We are a non-profit volunteer ran organization dedicated to eradicating animal cruelty to all breeds in Wichita and surrounding counties. While we will help any animal in need that we can, we seek to promote the bully breed as the loving and loyal animals they are. All our animals are in private foster homes of caring volunteers. Our animals come to us under many different circumstances. They may be from an accidental or unwanted litter, the one abandoned at a shelter, the one that "got too big", the one sitting on the side of the road waiting for the owner, the one that escaped their chain, the irresponsible result of a breeder, the one left behind when the owners moved, or the one beat and left for dead. The list could go on. We hold adoption events throughout the year and during the colder months we hit the streets looking for neglected and/or dogs in need. We hand out cold weather supplies and educate owners about community resources that are available and proper dog ownership.
