My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello adopters, my name is Biscuit and I am new here at the shelter! I am a 4 year old mixed breed short dog with a kind and interesting multicolored face and big brown eyes. I am calm, friendly, know the ‘sit’ command and I’m working on earning my ‘stay’ badge. I like to rest my head on your arm in greeting and after running and playing it’s my signal for much appreciated head and neck rubs.

I am an active dog and a perfect gentleman walking on a leash. I don’t bark at other dogs and sometimes I am a slow walker as I like to sniff lots of things. For some unknown reason I have very sensitive feet and occasionally I walk on three legs till the rocks fall off my pads.

I am looking for playmates to walk and hike with and go on interesting car rides. I am playful but not overly energetic. I am housebroken and will be your enjoyable dog friend.

I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. I am house trained, easy to harness up and take treats gently from the palm of your hand.

If you are ready to live with and love a happy dog please come and meet me. Just contact my great friends at the Humane Society of Sedona at: 928.282.4679 any day of the week 10am-4pm; excluding major holidays. I`d love to spend the rest of my life with you.

More about this shelter

Our Vision - Be Our Heart & Voice
Building a caring community where every adoptable and treatable pet finds a life-long loving home.

Our Mission
The Humane Society of Sedona is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of pets in our community and beyond. The Society has served the Verde Valley since 1966.

The Linda and Allan Brecher Center for Animals at the society is designed to allow every person, who desires the love of a pet, to adopt and provide a forever loving home. The Center provides quality care and positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable pets. Passionate volunteers help walk and socialize the pets in our care. Foster pet parents are an important part of caring for pets outside the Center.

The Society provides vital services for pets and people alike through income-based affordable spay/neuter surgeries and vaccination clinics. Also, for families in need to feed their pets, we have a Pet Food Program.

Another public resource is our adult and youth educational programs.

The Society relies on community support, contributions, grants, bequests, investments, proceeds from the Society’s thrift stores and some fees for service in order to save pets’ lives.
