My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lincoln is a cool dude that loves the company of humans, peers and cats. He enjoys snuggles AND rough play, depending on the situation, and who’s available. He’s very close to his foster sister Annie (also a foster puppy) and they play most of their time together in a “wrestling dance” (good exercise). They don’t make much noise, but shoes or other items in reach could be in jeopardy! Lincoln is very good with the foster family’s two cats and two dogs (he’s able to “read” other dogs cues), spending time together in the kitchen, smelling and tasting what’s cooking. He also enjoys sleeping and getting pets on the couch with family members and Annie, watching a good movie. He’s just a great little guy!

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
