My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gravy! This adorable little hound boy is overflowing with charm and is so ready to find a family of his very own. He is dog friendly, people loving, and has that classic hound goofiness that keeps everyone smiling. Gravy is sweet, playful, and always excited to be part of whatever fun is happening around him.

He came to HSEC with his brother Biscuit, but the two are not bonded. They are simply named after the most iconic southern breakfast pair. Gravy is more than happy to head off on his own adventure and show the world just how wonderful he is.

If you are looking for a friendly, joyful hound who will bring endless laughter and love into your home, make sure you check Gravy out. He is ready to make someone’s life so much brighter.

More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina's mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets and act as a resource to the community. By educating the public about issues pertaining to animals, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of over breeding of dogs and cats and teach owners to be responsible pet owners. At the same time, we hope to facilitate adoption of pets to good homes so that we can allow more unwanted animals to find a temporary home with us.
