Lea, who has a Senior Sanctuary, was asked by a local shelter to take Benji because he was emaciated and the shelter thought he was dying ..his organs were shutting down. A few months later in Lea's care.. he has gained weight and his bloodwork is perfect. He was obviously being starved , so now he will guard food from other dogs for that reason. You certainly can't blame him for that! Older children that will understand the guarding issue only probably would be fine. He is very affectionate and loves attention. Benji is 13 lbs and 6 yrs old. He loves to play with other dogs, and will needs a yard with a secure 5' fence minimum. Yes this little man can jump high and has already jumped a 4' gate....so again 5' fence minimum
