Star light, star bright, the first star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might have the wish I wish tonight….**My wish is to get adopted!!!**
Hey all, I’m just your typical young pup who is full of love, food, poop, and loooooots of puppy energy! At such a young age, I had a ‘close call.' I was at a shelter in Downey, CA and was put in a room away from public view and marked for euthanasia (whatever that is). It makes me sad that no one wanted to give me another chance. I promise I will be worth it.
I’m an energetic gal who just got freedom to live life on her own terms, so I’ll need some help with understanding what your terms and boundaries are. I am looking for a pack leader, who can lead me through life. My foster mom says I’m very smart and a quick learner, especially if you have some delicious treats to give me. I already know “sit,” “let’s go,” “no,” and “come” and “give paw”. With love, treats, patience, and did I mention treats? I have already spent 2 weeks at a trainer's home, improving my obedience and leash walking skills. I also do really well with obstacle courses and agility training! As a puppy, I will need your help in maintaining my training and making sure I continue to progress. I hope you will invest in me, because I have so much potential to be YOUR BEST GIRL ever.
I do well with other dogs and I like playing with them. I love going for walks, especially the ones where I get to meet new people. I am looking for someone who enjoys being outdoors, going for walks, runs or hiking. I'm proud to share that I’m fully potty trained and always do my business outside like a good girl. I also have a gorgeous fur coat that turns heads everywhere I go — my tiger-like brindle stripes even shimmer with a touch of gold in the sunlight. I guess that makes me a true golden girl!
I also love playing with toys. Chewy toys are my favorite. Having lots of toys on hand will be very beneficial for you and me – they will keep me busy and give you some alone peaceful time! Even though I have lots of energy, I also enjoy a good nap and I am fully crate trained.
My perfect home would be with a fully fenced backyard for me to run around in and release all of my boundless puppy energy. However, I’m currently living in an apartment and would do well if you are prepared and happy to take me on many walks and runs.
Do I sound like the perfect BBF for you? If so, I can’t wait to meet you!
*Side note from ACZ - We do not understand how such sweet dogs like Star end up at the dog pound. There are a lot of kind, young and eager to please dogs at high kill shelters all across California. The state is truly going through a 'dog crisis.' Please adopt a shelter dog and save their life, literally. They just want love and nothing more.
