My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pizazz — A Brave Mom With a Heart of Gold
Age: ~2.5 years
Personality: Sweet • Gentle • Quietly Loving

Pizazz has lived quite a journey, and now she’s ready for the peaceful, loving forever home she deserves.

This resilient young mama was found on the side of the road with her five kittens, injured but still fiercely devoted to protecting them. She had road rash along her back leg, required surgery to close an open wound, and X-rays revealed she had once suffered a broken hip that had healed on its own. Through every hardship and every step of recovery, Pizazz remained calm, patient, and the best mother to her babies.

Today, Pizazz is blossoming into a tender, affectionate companion. She loves curling up in her foster mom’s lap for quiet cuddles and can spend hours watching birds flutter outside the window. While she can be a bit shy at first, she warms up quickly — especially if treats are involved. Ever since she discovered Temptations, she proudly leads her foster family straight to the treat closet like a tiny tour guide with a one-track mind.

Pizazz would thrive in a calm home with people who understand gentle souls. She has so much love to give, and once she trusts you, she’ll be your soft, loyal, treat-loving shadow.

If you’re looking for a sweet, courageous cat with a gentle spirit and an inspiring story, Pizazz is ready to fill your home with quiet love.

More about this rescue

Purr Partners Feline Rescue is a 501(c)(3), no-kill, foster-based, all-volunteer organization dedicated to saving the lives of cats and kittens in Central North Carolina — incorporated in 2009 by two friends, four cats, and no budget. These two women realized the need for a "cat only" rescue that worked with rural shelters — where cats routinely lose their lives. Purr Partners was founded to save the lives of those most in jeopardy with little hope of survival. High-kill rural shelters became the focus for Purr Partners, and that is still true today. From those humble beginnings, the rescue has grown to over a hundred active volunteers and a budget of approximately $175,000. At any given time there are between 100 and 150 cats and kittens in foster care. We have saved the lives of over 3500 cats and are still growing!
