My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gossip Girl — The Sweetest Little Princess With a Big Heart! 💛🐾
Gossip Girl is a petite, loving girl who absolutely adores human attention. If you’re sitting or lying down, expect her to crawl right into your lap, flop dramatically for pets, or curl up for a cozy nap. She’ll happily sleep in your bed, follow you around the house, and even let out a tiny squeak if she can’t find her people — it’s her adorable way of saying, “Where are you? I want snuggles!”

Once she feels comfortable in her new space (she prefers approaching new people when they’re calm, seated, or even when the lights are low), she blossoms into a confident, affectionate little companion who makes herself right at home.

Gossip Girl’s Interests:
✨ Catnip toys — approved and adored
✨ Bird watching — a daily hobby
✨ Chasing balls and springs — instant joy
✨ Dancing after the laser — a must-see performance

Her Ideal Home:
Gossip Girl would thrive in a quieter home where she can be the center of attention. She prefers being the only pet, but she could also live with an older, low-key cat who enjoys their own space. She currently lives with a 9-year-old resident cat, and because they respect each other’s boundaries, they make perfect roommates. Gossip Girl just doesn’t enjoy cats who get too close or too curious about her personal space.

About Her FIV Status:
Gossip Girl is FIV+ — but don’t let that worry you! FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is not contagious to people or other animals, and many FIV+ cats live long, healthy, normal lives with regular vet care and an indoor home. In Gossip Girl’s case, it doesn’t affect her day-to-day life at all. She truly just wants to be the only princess in her castle, and FIV doesn’t change her sweetness one bit.

Foster-to-Adopt Ready!
Gossip Girl is part of our Foster To Adopt program, which means you’ll get a full month to let her settle in and see just how lovely she is before making a final decision. We’re confident you’ll fall head over heels for this gentle, quirky sweetheart.

If you’re looking for a loyal lap companion with a huge heart and adorable personality, Gossip Girl is ready to steal your love — and your comfiest chair. 💛🐾

More about this rescue

Purr Partners Feline Rescue is a 501(c)(3), no-kill, foster-based, all-volunteer organization dedicated to saving the lives of cats and kittens in Central North Carolina — incorporated in 2009 by two friends, four cats, and no budget. These two women realized the need for a "cat only" rescue that worked with rural shelters — where cats routinely lose their lives. Purr Partners was founded to save the lives of those most in jeopardy with little hope of survival. High-kill rural shelters became the focus for Purr Partners, and that is still true today. From those humble beginnings, the rescue has grown to over a hundred active volunteers and a budget of approximately $175,000. At any given time there are between 100 and 150 cats and kittens in foster care. We have saved the lives of over 3500 cats and are still growing!
