My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Nelly! 💕🐾
At just 7 months old and 37 pounds, Nelly is the perfect blend of playful puppy energy and gentle sweetness. With her bright spirit and loving personality, she has a way of making every day feel a little lighter.
Nelly is great with other dogs, always eager to make new friends and join in on the fun. She’s curious about the world, ready to learn, and full of that joyful, bouncy enthusiasm that makes puppies so irresistible. Whether she’s exploring outside, enjoying playtime, or leaning in for affection, she brings warmth wherever she goes.
If you’re searching for a happy, friendly, and affectionate companion, Nelly might just be your perfect match! 💛

Come meet her at 2960 Shafto Road, Tinton Falls, NJ.

More about this shelter

The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.

For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused, or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.

The Society is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.

Please visit our website AHSCares.org for additional information.
