My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cindy Lou Who!
This adorable little lady is 10 years old, 10 lbs, and truly one of the sweetest souls you’ll ever meet. Cindy Lou Who is a gentle, timid girl who just wants a calm home and a person to love.
She’s quiet, easygoing, and gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and even chickens! She isn’t a big barker and minds her manners like a pro. Once she feels safe, she absolutely loves curling up right next to you, soaking up belly rubs, and giving the softest little kisses.
Cindy Lou Who would thrive in a peaceful home where she can spend her evenings on your lap, cozied up and content. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t ask for much — just love, comfort, and a place to finally exhale.
If you’re looking for a gentle companion with a heart full of sweetness, Cindy Lou Who is your girl.To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.

Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.

More about this rescue

Long Way Home was created to provide the last stop for animals displaced from their homes, deemed "unadoptable" by other rescues, or that need a level of care their previous owners or other shelters are unable or unwilling to provide.
