Say hello to Tex, the happy, goofy boy who brings sunshine wherever he goes! He’s playful, cuddly, and full of puppy charm.

💛 Why You’ll Love Tex
Tex is an adorable mix of silly and sweet. In the yard, he sniffs for critters and does the cutest little fox-pounce when he thinks he’s found something. Inside, he’s convinced the running kitchen tap is hiding a “monster” and he’s determined to investigate!

He loves his classic Kong, long walks, fun hikes, and most of all snuggles. This boy melts into your arms and gives the softest, sweetest looks.

🏡 At Home
Tex sleeps in his crate at night, wakes up around 7:30 a.m. for cuddles and breakfast, then alternates between playtime, naps, and adventures. Car rides make him a bit nervous at first, but he settles after a bit.

He’s still working on house training and may have one pee accident a day, plus he’s a little mouthy (like puppy energy) but he’s smart and learning fast.

Home Check

Our Home Checks are Virtual on Zoom, FaceTime, Messenger..... followed by reference check as well as a vet reference check.

Meet the Pet

Once your application has been approved and we think the dog you have applied for is a good match we will then set up a meet & greet.

Approve Application

Sign Adoption Contract

Once the adoption contract and fee have been received the dog can go home with the approved adopter.

Backstreet Paws Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer based organization that helps homeless, abandoned street dogs find their forever homes. We are dedicated to providing the best possible care for these animals until they can be placed into a loving home. Our ultimate goal is to reduce the number of dogs that are euthanized each year in shelters due to lack of adoptions. We believe that every dog deserves a chance at a happy life and we are committed to helping as many dogs as possible.
