Lincoln is 8 years old, 28 lbs., and an owner surrender. His family was moving and could not keep him. Lincoln is a sweet, affectionate beagle who loves nothing more than curling up next to you on the couch or on your lap. He’s smart, learns quickly, and just needs a family willing to show him clear boundaries—he picks them up fast!
Lincoln has good house manners with only a rare episode of marking. He's an easy-going guy that loves to explore everything.
Lincoln gets along with everyone, enjoys canine companions, likes cats, and thrives in a home where he can be included in daily life. Lincoln will do best with a family that is comfortable with crate training and is familiar with beagle personality. He is sweet, loving, and ready to be someone’s loyal companion…...you will adore him!

The first step in our adoption process is the completion of our on-line application to adopt. The application can be found on our website.

Approve Application
Go to our website www.HoustonBeagleRescue.org and click on the link "About Adoption." After receiving your application, we will contact you.

Home Check
Once your application is approved, a volunteer will bring the beagle to your home to meet your family and pets, and approve the adoption..

Meet the Pet
You are invited to attend our monthly meet and greets without completing an application, but no adoption can take place before applying.

The first step in our adoption process is for interested parties to complete the on-line adoption application found on our website. We require an adoption fee ($300 for purebred beagles and coon hounds; $250 for mixes; $200 for special needs or seniors 8 years +; and $350 for pups age 8 mo. or younger) and an adoption contract. ALL dogs will be vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoption!
