Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there! My name is Percy and I'm at the Santa Barbara Campus. I am a 4 month old, neutered male, Queensland/Shepherd mix.
Have you ever tried a parsnip? Sweet and nutty, similar to a carrot but far more complex. The staff at SBH tell me that's how I get my name. I'm active, sweet, can be a little nutty, and have tons of personality just waiting to be discovered. I love to play with other dogs, toys, and most of all I love to cuddle. I have been practicing my cuddle game for many seasons, and I can confidently say that I am the cream of the crop. Just like a delicious winter soup, I can warm you up from the inside out. I can be a little shy when first meeting new people but my friends at SBH have helped me gain so much confidence! They say waiting to harvest parsnips until after the winter frost makes them sweeter, and I'd have to agree. While I might have needed a little more time than others, I'm so much sweeter because of it. Refine your palette, try a Parsnip!
Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays, and no appointment is needed.
Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.
Need some supplies? Both SB Humane Campuses have retail centers stocked with everything you need, at comparable prices, and your purchase helps support our mission.
Hope to see you soon!
