Meet Jake!
Jake is a 4-year-old Great Dane/Lab mix with the sweetest, gentlest personality. He’s a tall, sleek boy with a shiny black coat and expressive eyes that make it impossible not to fall in love. Jake is friendly, affectionate, and loves being near his people—whether he’s lounging by your desk or riding calmly in the car in his harness. He is also fantastic with small children and is the biggest cuddle bug.
He enjoys walks, playtime, and any chance to stretch his long legs, but he’s also happy to relax once he’s had his exercise. Jake is fully vaccinated, neutered, and comes with all his paperwork. He has already been through several homes, so we’re looking for a forever family committed to loving him for life.
If you’re searching for a loyal, gentle companion with a big heart (and long legs!), Jake might be your perfect match. He will be fostered in a loving home until March or until the right family finds him—no shelters for this sweet boy.

The Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League, Inc. (MAGDRL) was organized in 1979 to serve the seven states of the Mid-Atlantic region. It now covers NY, NJ, PA, MD, DE, VA, DC, and WV.
The organization is a DC corporation and has a charitable tax-exemption under code 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
MAGDRL is staffed completely by volunteers. Therefore, 100% of the funds donated to our organization goes to helping our Great Danes.
We do not have a central location. Our dogs live in the homes of volunteers who have offered to be foster families for our dogs.
