My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

River is a sweet and cuddly 4 month old, male kitten.  He has a master's degree in snuggling.  This little boy loves attention and wants to be held. He purrs and purrs! He will definately be a lap cat.

River has been lovingly fostered in a home with other cats, kittens and dogs.  He gets along with everyone.  He is a little shy at first but within an hour or two he will be your BFF.

River is well-behaved and always uses his litterbox.

River is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines.

River's ideal home is one where he will receive a lot of attention.

River is available for adoption through Castaway Critters.  If you are interested in River, please contact his foster at donna_casner@comcast.net.  He is currently being fostered in Harrisburg, Pa. (Colonial Park area).

Additional adoption info

We offer an online adoption application at www.castwaycritters.org. We do check references, vet references, and housechecks. Once you are approved, you will be required to fill out an adoption agreement. Our animals have all been wormed, altered and vaccinated. Cats have been tested for FIV/FeLV. For more information, see our website at www.castawaycritters.org.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All of our animals are in foster care so please complete an application at our website (www.castawaycritters.org) before meeting them. Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt; however, it is required. Applications are processed in the order received in an effort to find the best match possible for both the dog and the adopter.

Please also check out our events page on our website as fosters sometimes bring their available animals out to meet people!

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit rescue group that takes in stray, abandoned, and sick animals, giving them medical and foster care until available for adoption. We offer low cost spay/neuter clinics to the public and a special program called Operation CatNIP for pet cats of low income qualified individuals and feral cats, and assist in TNR for cats.
