My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rae, our mystery dog that surely is an unusual mix of breeds. Our stunning girl is about 2 years old and only about 30 pounds. She has mesmerizing blue eyes so we think some husky in there, but has a wide muscular chest (jack russell?) and a low rider profile (dachshund?). Her DNA test would surely produce interesting results

This compact cutie may take a little bit of time to warm up, but shes very sweet. She likes to come around from the back and give you a hug. Our girl came to canine collective with young puppies and they are being posted for adoption too! It would be great if they all got great homes including mama!

Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.
