Quin is a gentle, shy, incredibly sweet dog who has been through far more than most pups should — and yet he remains soft, playful, and eager to connect with people. Volunteers describe him as easy to leash, easy to walk, and a joy to spend time with. He enjoys treats, learns quickly, and loves relaxing on the couch or exploring outside.
Before coming to the shelter, Quin lived peacefully with his finders’ resident dogs and has shown no dog reactivity while at the shelter. He never fails to greet volunteers with wagging softness and calm manners. Once he feels safe, his personality opens up — he’s playful, affectionate, and loves showing off his tricks.
Quin is treat-motivated and appears to be house-trained. While he starts his walks with enthusiastic pulling, he settles into an easy pace after a while. He can be a little shy at first, especially in noisy areas, and may be sensitive to strangers reaching into his space, so he’ll do best with someone who can let him warm up gently at his own pace.
Quin would thrive with:
✔ A calm, patient home
✔ Adults or older teens who respect his space
✔ A resident dog who enjoys soft, friendly company (meet-and-greets available!)
✔ Positive reinforcement and predictable routines
If you already have a dog, our behavior team can help set up a meet & greet to make sure it’s a great fit.
Quin is a truly good dog who has handled life's highs and lows with remarkable grace. Come meet him — you’ll be amazed by how much sweetness and heart he brings to the moment.
