My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET IGGY!

You know how some people just have those personalities where EVERYONE loves them and has absolutely nothing bad to say about them? For us, that person is Iggy.
Our sweet 1-year old boy had a rough start to life, coming to our shelter from a situation where there were too many kitties and nobody to care for them. You’ d never think it though, because from day one here at the shelter, Iggy made it known that the world revolved around him. He showed us from the start that he was a superstar, despite his neglected past. We really can’ t argue with him – it’s Iggy’s world and we are just living in it.
Possibly due to his previous living situation, Iggy has reoccurring allergies that cause him to be occasionally sneezy. He doesn’t let this bother him and has taken all of the poking and prodding tests we’ve conducted in stride. Ultimately, it seems our boy has always had some allergies and, though they have improved in our care, he will likely have the sneezies long term.
Now, don’t you think for a second that his nose woes have held him back – for our Iggy, it’s quite the opposite. We might be reading too much into this, but we think that Iggy has figured out that when he sneezes, we come to check on him. Then, of course, he gets all the pets and kisses and most likely a treat or seven. We aren’t saying he uses this to his advantage, but the possibility exists.
Overall, our stuffy sweetie is happy, healthy, and thriving. He has gotten along well with cats here at the shelter, and lived with them previously, so we believe he would be great as a single kitty or an addition to a kitty inclusive family. All he needs is a family to love him for his goofy antics, ridiculously playful spurts, and super cuddly biscuit making activities. Iggy is neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, up to date on vaccines, and current on prevention.
