Once a nervous pup, Huey has blossomed into a happy, 45-pound bundle of energy who can’t wait to get outside, grab a toy, and stretch his legs. Volunteers adore his goofy zoomies and the way he leans in for butt scratches—his favorite “sweet spot.”
Huey walks nicely on a mostly loose leash and doesn’t pay much attention to other dogs while out and about. He knows some commands and loves to play, especially once he’s comfortable. Though he may be shy with new people at first, he warms up beautifully with patience and gentle introductions.
After a long stay at the shelter, Huey is ready to leave the past behind and find a loving forever home where he can finally relax, play, and just be himself.
